White, glittering squared crystal, specific weight is 59-3.95SSis extremely apt for evaporation; sublimation temperature is 315 SSthe melting point is 340-350. It would easily turns into selenious acid when soluble in water(H2SeO3). The gasous selenium dioxide is yellowrish green, with stink of garlic, and toxic. The selenium dioxide is a strong oxidizer, and can be reduced into elementary selenium by sulfur dioxide, hydrogen, ammonia, carbon monoxide and carbon. |
